Becoming A Commission Member
AMA Recreational Riding Commission appointees must have an active AMA membership and be in good standing throughout their appointment. Each appointee shall serve a two-year term beginning in January. The AMA strongly encourages every commission member to attend the annual AMA Congress weekend, traditionally held in Columbus, Ohio.

Applications must be submitted by Sept. 1 for the term beginning the following January. Appointees may serve multiple terms. The AMA president and CEO may remove any appointee from a commission at any time.
